Workplace Safety Presentation

An officer with the Champaign Police Department’s North District Division will serve as panelist for the Daily Bread Soup Kitchen’s Volunteer Conference. Officers will provide workplace safety tips for staff and volunteers on October 1, 2010. The presentation will be held in Provena Covenant Medical Center’s, 4th floor conference room.

Risk Watch Presentations

Officers Benjamin Newell and Jeremy Canales conducted Risk Watch presentations at Garden Hills and Robeson Elementary School on September 28-30, 2010. Over 122 second-graders attended the sessions on Bicycle and Pedestrian Safety.

Champaign Exchange Club Gives Away 100 Teddy Bears

The Exchange Club of Champaign, Illinois is helping in a nationwide fight against child abuse by distributing Exchange’s Time Out Teddy bears to children who have been abused, neglected or traumatized.
