Officer Westfield’s presentation to the junior and senior students outlined gang profiles and the role gangs play in society.

Champaign Police Officer Rob Wills gave a presentation to the citizens of “Strattonville” on October 24. Since February 2012, the focus of students at Stratton Leadership and Microsociety Magnet School has been learning about society and democracy and designing their own. Officer Wills’ presentation informed students about the “Life of a Police Officer.”
On October 16, Champaign Community Coalition and the Champaign Police Department met at Apostolic Faith Church and conducted a “Walk as One” event in the Bristol Park Neighborhood. The coalition canvassed the neighborhood to share important crime prevention and safety information and discussed ways to address neighborhood concerns with neighborhood residents.
