The Code Review Committee carries on continuing evaluations of the City’s building construction and maintenance code. It advises the City Council on decisions regarding the code and performs other duties as assigned by Council.
The Committee consists of nine appointed members who represent various facets of the building construction and maintenance. The ordinance mandates that members must be of the following professions:
- An architect
- A structural engineer
- A realtor/broker
- A builder/developer
- An electrician
- A mechanical engineer
- A mechanical technician
- A licensed plumber
- An electrical engineer
Membership terms are three years. The Fire Chief and Neighborhood Services Director serve as Secretary to the Board in cases of appeals.
