I have lived in Champaign for a little over ten years, having permanently moved to Champaign in 2003. I attended the University of Illinois and graduated with a degree in Political Science.
After graduation, I was employed by Kraft as a Sanitation Auditor, as well as working part-time for the outreach office of U.S. Representative Tim Johnson. I currently live in Champaign with my wife, Nikia, and my two children.
As a Council Member, I focus my efforts on minority issues and implementing policy for the city of Champaign that will promote inclusiveness. I was elected onto the City Council in 2009 as a representative for District 1, re-elected to serve a second term in 2013, and elected to an At-Large seat in 2015.
