Champaign Fire Department, Building Safety is responsible for ensuring the enforcement of City codes relating to new building construction. Responsibilities include receipt of all building permit applications, review for compliance with codes and inspection of all new construction. Services are provided in accordance with goals established by the Development Services Task Force.
