Jason Hood has over ten (10) years experience in the public and private sector as a Human Resources, Employee Relations and Labor Relations professional. He has held leadership positions in higher education, municipal government, Fortune 100 companies as well as non-profit associations. He served as the Senior Director of Labor and Industrial Relations for the Association of Union Constructors, HR/ADA Manager for Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., HR/EEO Manager with Tyson Foods and as the HR Specialist for the City of Decatur, IL. He holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Illinois College of Law, an MBA from Millikin University Tabor School of Business, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Wabash College. His affiliations include Society for Human Resources Management, the National Association of African-Americans in Human Resources, the National Black MBA Association, the National Public Employer Labor Relations Association, and the International Public Management Association for Human Resources.

The City’s Risk Manager coordinates claims investigations of all types of personal injury and property losses.
