Zoning regulates land uses by district, regulates building size and setbacks, and establishes requirements for parking lots, sets screening requirements, etc. The Sign Regulations are also a part of the Zoning Ordinance as Article VIII.
Zoning Ordinance
The Zoning Ordinance is Chapter 37 of the City of Champaign’s Municipal Code. Though the Municipal Code is available online, the Zoning Ordinance may sometimes change quickly, yet take a few months to have updated on the Municipal Code Corporation site, which is not maintained by City staff. When in doubt, please contact City staff to reference the most up-to-date version of the Zoning Ordinance.
