UPCOMING EVENTS:
The Champaign Police Department will be hosting an Open House for the community on May 14, 2012 from 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM. The event will be held during National Police Week (May 13-19, 2012), an event recognizing the service and sacrifice of U.S. law enforcement.
The event is a great opportunity to have fun, meet your Police Chief and staff, and learn more about your local police department. There will be tours of the police department, presentations and demonstrations from the K-9 Unit, SWAT team, Hostage Negotiations team, Crime Scene Technicians and Explosive Ordinance Disposal units. There will also be a historical display and activities planned for the whole family.
Tours of the department will be conducted from
1:00 – 7:00 p.m.

The Champaign Police Department Commemorates
“National Police Week”
You are cordially invited to a Champaign Police memorial service to honor the men who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
The service will take place Thursday, May 17, 2012, at Westside Park at
11:30 AM.
Please join us after the service as we form a motocade to the Champaign County Courthouse for thememorial starting at noon.
