Community Services and Outreach

The Community Services unit coordinates the media relations, recruitment, marketing and outreach efforts of the police department.

Police Recruiting

The Champaign Police Department serves a diverse community. Under the department’s community-policing philosophy, it is important for the community to see itself reflected in the police department. To that end, this department places high value on the recruitment of a diverse pool of qualified applicants for entry-level police positions.

If you are interested in meeting the challenge of progressive municipal policing, please click on the “Jobs” link to either apply for a position or submit a job interest card for public safety positions.
