Professional Standards assists the department in achieving the highest standards in law enforcement. Three closely related functions are Officer Conduct, Training and Development, and ILEAP accreditation.
The Records Division manages the paperwork flow of the Police Department. Staff input, organize and analyze data and respond to Citizens’ requests for documents.
Training and Development identifies training needs, schedules training and develops and produces training.
Alcohol Enforcement monitors alcohol-related events and premises and enforces local and state regulations.
Alcohol Training provides server and security training for alcohol and serving venues.
Special Event Permits reviews proposed special events for public safety concerns and use of the public right-of-way.
