The Parking Office provides durable parking meter covers at the cost of $10 per bag per day for the purpose of temporarily reserving metered parking spaces as a convenience for utilities, businesses, and contractors during periods of unusual loading /unloading, repairs, remodeling, and other like activities in accordance with the Champaign Municipal Code 33.78 .
Note: Meter bags are not to be used as a means of reserving parking for customers or employees.
To rent a parking meter cover, the application must be submitted to the Parking Programs Office located at 713 Edgebrook Drive in Champaign not later than 24 hours prior to the date of the meter reservations. The office hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Telephone orders will be accepted at (217) 403-7050 during regular office hours only if payment is provided at the time of order. We accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover.
