To help with the develoment of the stormwater utility fee, Council established the Stormwater Utility Fee Advisory Committee (CB 2010-127). Council appointed 14 members of the community to the advisory committee (CB 2010-128). The appointed individuals were representatives from the John Street, Washington Street East and West Steering Committees, Unit 4 School District, Champaign Park District, Parkland College, University of Illinois, Central Illinois Apartment Association, Champaign City Council, Residential Property Owners, Commercial Business Owners, Industrial Business Owners.
The Stormwater Utility Fee Advisory and Technical Committee had their first meeting on September 13, 2010. The committee met 11 times, concluding their work at the July 7, 2011, meeting.
