Architect Carol Ross Barney to Speak at Dedication Celebration

The library’s July 27 dedication celebration has a theme of “Three Cheers for the Library!” Starting around 1 pm, the crowd will be invited to assemble outside the library. Pom-poms and streamers will be distributed to children while a Dixieland band entertains. After a few words of dedication, the crowd will be invited to join in a cheer led by library staff. At 2 pm, Carol Ross Barney will be in Robeson Pavilion Room A & B to talk about sustainable elements of the library design, while a music program is offered for families in the Nate & Lillie Story Room. Items for the library’s 100-year time capsule will also be on display at the event.
